The Announcement
Posted by Ogle B. Straight on January 15th, 2010 filed in UncategorizedHey Everybody and ‘What’s the Deal?’! (As always, feel free to respond to that if you are so inclined.) I am writing this to inform you about the official dates for the annual B.S. Mitrick event most commonly known as ‘THE FEST’. So, get out your calendars, your day planners, your Blackberries, your iPod Notes, whatever you use these days to keep track of your futures and take these dates down. This year, in 2010, The Fest will happen on July 16th and 17th. Some of you were told a few weeks ago, probably in a Facebook message or a Christmas Card, that it was going to be held on a different date. We chose to reschedule the date to give us an opportunity to provide even greater entertainment during the event. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience that may have occurred due to the change in plans. I would also like to announce that the official name of The FEST in 2010 will be ‘THE LIFE’. In subsequent emails, messages, or blogs this year’s ‘FEST’ will be referred to as ‘The Life’ or ‘B.S. Mitrick Presents “The Life”’ or ‘The Life 2010’. Just remember that if you hear or read something about ‘The Life’, it will be pertaining to ‘The Fest’. In a final announcement: ‘The Life’ will be the conclusion of B.S. Mitrick’s 8 year run of FEST events. It is our goal to help facilitate another enjoyable, entertaining weekend in the beautiful hills of Southern Pennsylvania. There will be movies, music, and wonderful roses in sweet, fragrant meadows of dawn and dew. ‘The Life’ will be a celebration of ‘The Fest’ and the life that it has had.We will have more updates in the future. Please save the date and stay tuned for more. See you this summer! Brandon

Nice name. A festival called the life. You better have babies being born, kids running around, people learning life lessons, babies being conceived, fighting and wars, religious ceremonies, a weird drug experimentation period, road trips, job interviews, business meetings, wine tastings, marriages, divorces, mid-life crises, expensive family vacations, oh and, laughter, excitement, fear, anger, joy-yeah can’t skimp on joy, hard work, uncertainty, perseverance, overwhelming ecstasy, hopefully some relaxation, photo taking, pontification, regrets, acceptance, and a grim reaper hanging around. Well if you want to call this the life, I think it’s the least you can do.
